Missouri Natives

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Free “Money” Offered by Missouri Natives, The Flat River Band

Nashville, Tennessee – January 21, 2009 – What could be better than free “money?” In tribute to America’s new era of hope and change, The Flat River Band of Fredericktown, MO, is offering free streaming audio of it’s new hit single, “Money,” through the band’s myspace.com site.

With what could easily become the new anthem for current conditions, “Money” offers an entertaining, yet hopeful look at the fuel of the economy, the “root of all evil,” and the reason most people get out of bed in the morning.

This first release from their upcoming new cd, “The Flat River Band,” has also been presented to the nation’s radio stations, and is earning high praise for it’s timely topic and energetic look at the challenges and opportunities facing our nation. And yes, you can certainly dance to it.

The Flat River Band has deep roots in Missouri, featuring the musical talents of Chad, Dennijo and Andy Sitze, noted members of the legendary Sitze Family, one of the region’s most highly-acclaimed performing families.

Having literally grown up on stage while performing at festivals, fairs, churches, and concerts, the brothers are known for their precise harmonies and precision musicianship. Critics have favorably compared their sound to such top artists as Alabama, The Bee Gees, and The Everly Brothers.

2009 is shaping up to be the busiest year for the band to date.

In addition to the release of their new cd, they are also featured with some of the nation’s top performers and songwriters on the new three-cd release entitled “This Is My America,” a 64-track collection of original songs recounting the history of The United States of America.

Sharing the project with such talents as Dolly Parton, Kathy Mattea, Charley Pride, Mark O’Conner, Billy Dean, and Wood Newton, The Flat River Band performs “Hard Times in the Big Easy.”

The Flat River Band is currently preparing for the imminent release of the self-titled new album, and supporting their music with live tours in the area. Fans are invited to hear them in person at The Rutledge in Nashville, Tennessee Feb. 18th at 8pm.
